LIEG - Laboratory of Informatics and Geophysics Teaching
LIEG is designed to carry out disciplines that need computational support, such as Programming and Fortran, which are essential for undergraduate and graduate courses in Geophysics. In addition, it is available to students as a study and research environment when outside the period of regular teaching activities. Currently, it is equipped with 12 workstations with the Linux Ubuntu operating system connected to the internet and several essential programs for teaching and research activities, such as Octave, Latex, Madagascar, among others. In the academic recess and / or vacation, the Laboratory is also available to carry out several mini-courses organized by teachers and by the Tutorial Education Program - PET Geophysics.
